Outlook 2010 for Windows Exchange Configuration (Non-Butler
Computers)
Setting up Outlook 2010 to access BUmail via an Exchange
Connection will allow for email, calendaring and group functions
via Outlook. This connection will not work off-campus.
- Launch Outlook. From the Tools menu, select
Options...
- Select Add a new e-mail account and click
Next
- Select Microsoft Exchange Server and click
Next
- Enter bumail.butler.edu for the Microsoft
Exchange Server
- Enter your Butler username and then click Check
Name Note: After clicking "Check Name", the server address
might change. This is normal and should be left to what it was
automatically changed to
- When prompted to enter your credentials, enter your butler
username and password
You have successfully configured your Outlook account.
Outlook 2011 for Mac Exchange Configuration (Non-Butler
Computers)
Setting up Outlook 2011 to access BUmail via an Exchange
Connection will allow for email, calendaring and group functions
via Outlook. This connection will work off-campus.
- Launch Outlook. From the Tools menu,
select Options...
- Click Exchange Account
- In the box that appears, enter your Butler email address and
Butler username and password. Ensure Configure
Automatically is checked.
- Click Add Account
- Close the Accounts windows
You have successfully configured your Outlook account.
