Apple Mail 10.6 Exchange Configuration

Adding Butler as first mailbox

  1. Open Mail, If adding first mailbox, You will get a Welcome to Mail window
  2. Enter your Full Name
  3. Enter your full Butler Email Address106Mail Exchange Welcome
  4. Enter your Butler Password Click Continue
  5. If given an error, modify the Username field adding BUTLER\106Mail Exchange Welcomeerror
  6. Click Continue
  7. Keep the boxes checked for "Address Book Contacts" and "iCal Calendars" if you want Apple Mail to import your contacts and calender from BUmail.106Mail Exchange Summary
  8. Click Create and Apple Mail will launch your email. It may take some time to completely populate your inbox with all of your emails and folders.

Adding Butler as an additional mailbox

  1. Open Mail. If adding a mailbox, from the Mail tab, select Preferences
  2. Click the plus button at the bottom of the screen to add a new account

  6. Choose Exchange 2007 for the Account Type106Mail Exchange Incoming
  7. Enter Incoming Mail Server: bumail.butler.edu
