provides support for the major administrative departments and
offices of Butler University.

Center for Academic Technology
The Center for Academic Technology
(CAT) empowers faculty by providing knowledge, direction,
and tools to enrich their curriculum with
technology-appropriate pedagogy. CAT also manages Blackboard,
e-Portfolio, and public computer labs. CAT provides
consulting and training on technology integration issues, and
hosts workshops and events.

Officer leads Information Technology and, in
cooperation with others, oversees the creation and implementation
of the university's information technology strategy and
policies.

The Help Desk
offers a single point of contact for the technology needs of
faculty, staff and students.

Systems, Network Computing & Telecommunications
Systems & Network
Computing is responsible for the operation and maintenance of
the University's centralized computing resources, network
infrastructure, hardware maintenance, and student computing
classrooms and labs. Telecommunications is responsible for handling
the maintenance and billing of on-campus telephones services.

Web
Services provides web server and site maintenance for
www.butler.edu. Web Services also provides ongoing support to
colleges, departments, and other campus organizations who maintain
a web presence within www.butler.edu.
