Information Technology Organizational Structure
IT recently completed a review of staff
skill sets, roles, competencies, organizational structure, and
business processes. This review helped define what IT should
become in the next three years in order to meet Butler's mission
and direction.
About the Major IT Areas
Support Services
Support Services supports incoming needs of customers
and ensure health and dependability of our systems. Joe Ader heads
this team, which consists of the Help Desk, Escalation, Logistics,
and Operations/Maintenance. The Help Desk is the initial contact point for
routine software and hardware questions and inquiries. (

Partnership
Partnership is a newly formed team that includes relationship
managers who provide general consulting to constituents, gather
business and functional requirements, and provide portfolio and
project management services. This team is led by Joe Indiano and is
the initial point-of-contact for initiatives beyond routine Help
Desk matters. The Partnership team looks forward to enhancing their
understanding of the challenges you face and collaborating with you
on productive solutions. Relationship managers will serve as your
liaison with IT, translating business needs to the technology

Partnership - Joe Indiano
Technology Development
Technology Development works with the Partnership team to design
and build processes, software and hardware to meet business and
academic requirements. This includes all Butler IT
applications, services, infrastructure and mobile apps. The
composition of this team reflects the increasingly cross-platform
nature of most new systems. This team is responsible for a wide
range of technologies, but many day-to-day operational &
constituent tasks are handled by the other two teams to allow this
group to be more "heads down" for large projects. Randy DelPrince
serves as Senior Director of this group. Chad Miller serves as
Director, Systems & Infrastructure; a sub-team within this
group. Chad has a wide-range of background in IT and IT

Chief Information Officer
The Chief
Information Officer leads
Information Technology and, in cooperation with others,
oversees the creation and implementation of the university's
