Information Commons supports the academic achievement of Butler
University students by supporting the development of information
and technology literacy skills through the use of technology.
Our student staff members are trained to assist your students with
basic research, including finding resources in the catalog,
searching databases for articles, and connecting students with
subject matter experts.
We also provide support for specific class assignments that
leverage technology. Our students are trained to offer
in-class sessions on specific technologies - for example Digital
Storytelling and iMovie- and are then available as a point of
contact for your students for follow-up questions outside of
class. They offer one-on-one consultations helping your
students with everything from Blackboard to iPads, digital cameras
to social media and lots of things in between.
