Building Services Supervisor, Evening or Night Shift Availability

We seek an experienced Building Services Supervisor to provide daily supervision for up to 14 building services employees at any given time.

Essential duties will be planning, scheduling and coordinating assignments for building services staff engaged in maintenance and housekeeping of university buildings.  Must be able to determine priorities and adjust schedules as needed.  Also will be responsible to conduct training sessions for staff to include new employee training and orientation.  Will assist the director with staff development and identify needs, standardize procedures and document performance evaluations.  Must be available to work a "Flex" schedule, as needed, including weekends, nights and overtime.  Will prepare daily and special reports to the management team and assist in planning projects and resolving problems with service areas - provide quality customer service; control issue of supplies and equipment needed; research new products and ensure the safety of employees and facilities.  Will respond to emergency situations and special maintenance requests as assigned.

Competencies required are high school graduate or GED; three to five years' related experience with three years supervisory experience.  Must provide evidence of a stable work history and proven leadership skills; demonstrated organizational, communication and computer skills - including Outlook, Word & Excel.  Must be able to work independently and/or with a team.  Valid Indiana driver's license and good driving record and ability to lift 50 pounds
