Butler University is seeking an experienced individual to fill the position of Assistant Softball Coach.  The Assistant Softball Coach will assist the head softball coach with the coaching, recruiting, retention, academic success and day-to-day management of the softball team.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with planning team travel, competition schedule and practice activities
• Support head coach with administrative duties such as compliance paperwork and records, as well as, business paperwork including, but not limited to, expense reports, purchase orders, requisitions for payment and journal vouchers
• Assist in managing and operating softball team
• Other duties as assigned by head coach

Qualifications and requirements:

• Earned four year baccalaureate degree required.  Masters preferred.
• Intercollegiate competitive experience and/or two or more years' experience working in a collegiate softball program and recruiting experience preferred 
• Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations desired
• Collegiate coaching with a specialty in pitching preferred
• Desired candidate will have outstanding verbal communication and leadership skills; able to work effectively with student-athletes, coaches, administrators and staff; demonstrated fundraising skills
