Subfield Requirement (3 credits)
- 200-400 Level course focusing on a Subfield of Anthropology
(bioanthropology, archaeology, linguistic anthropology, or medical
anthropology).
Theory and Methods (6 credits)
- Methodology course: AN352, or course approved by advisor
- History of Anthropological Thought AN390
Electives (12 credits)
- Four additional 300-level AN course
Capstone and Beyond (6 credits)
- Capstone Seminar (AN460), Honors Thesis (3 credits), or advisor
approved elective
- Internship or field school, or advisor approved elective
Minor Requirements (18 credits)
- Introductory Anthropology (SW215)
- AN101, GE109 or "subfields" course (3 credits)
- Four Area/Topic Courses 300/400 level: three of which must be
in anthropology (12 credits)
Combined History/Anthropology Major
Major Requirements: 48 credits
History (21 Hours)
- 6 hours from among HST111, HST211, HST212, HST213, or
HST214 (from two distinct geographical areas)
- 3 hours of Historiography (HST301)
- 9 hours of upper-division courses (300-level and above;
from at least two distinct geographical areas)
- 3 hours of 400-level research seminar (either HST401, or
HST490)
Anthropology (21 hours)
- 3 hours of Introductory Anthropology (SW215)
- 3 hours of Development of Anthropological Thought (AN390)
- 3 hours of Anthropological Methods (AN350)
- 12 hours of Additional Courses 300 Level and above
