Lower Level
Mechanical Room
Infrastructure enhancements are a major part of the Hinkle Fieldhouse preservation plans and the lower level of the renovated pool area will offer adequate space for many of those HVAC, electrical and mechanical to be based.
Football Locker Room
What was once the bottom of Indiana’s oldest indoor pool will seem far from it when the football team moves into their new locker room. The larger layout will make way for the amount of equipment that accompanies the sport and offer more room for the 110 student-athletes to prepare for competition and the classroom given its proximity to the new Athletic Training Center and Student-Athlete Success Center.
Locker Rooms
The locker rooms that line the lower level of the Fieldhouse will be home to such programs as men’s and women’s soccer and volleyball. The additional, updated space will be welcomed by the student-athletes and coaches and will make for easy access to the new Athletic Training Center and Student-Athlete Success Center.

Elevator
The modern passenger elevator would have been considered an item of luxury when the Fieldhouse was built in 1928; today it is a necessity. The trademark ramps and stadium steps will remain, but will no longer be the only way to navigate the levels of Hinkle.
