This checklist, compiled by Kay Yatskievych, contains native and non-native wildflowers
(exludes grasses, sedges, and rushes) that might be found in Marion County, Indiana
during the months of March - June.  The checklist may be reproduced provided that it is
for free distribution to the public.

Bolded = Native species
Not bolded = Non-native species

The number which appears between the common name and scientific name is the species number used in Field Guide to Indiana Wildflowers, by Kay Yatskievych, 2000, by Indiana University Press.  Thus, more information about each species may be found in this comprehensive guide.  Species are listed by the common name used in the Field Guide.  They are listed by the general common name with the modifiers following those so that all the Avens are together, all the  Bittercresses are together, etc.  There are 168 total species on the checklist with 125 of them being native in Marion County.
