Butler Semester in Spain, each Fall

Butler University's Semester in Spain program is offered each
fall. Led by a Butler professor who serves as Resident Faculty
Director, approximately 20 students spend the semester at the
University of Alcalá de Henares.

Butler Semester in Europe GALA, Spring 2013
Butler's Spring 2013 GALA - Global Adventures in the Liberal
Arts - study abroad program will provide up to 20 students the
opportunity to spend an entire semester traveling in Europe while
taking Butler core classes. Taught by Butler professors, the
classes will be a blend of classroom and on-site lectures,
discussions, site visitations, written assignments and exams.

Butler Semester in East Asia GALA, Spring 2012
The Butler Semester in East Asia is part of the GALA --
Global Adventures in the Liberal Arts -- series. Up to 20
students will travel with a Butler faculty member throughout the
semester, visiting several East Asian countries and completing 16
academic credits, most of which will fulfill core curriculum
requirements in Global and Historical Studies and several areas of
inquiry.

Butler Semester in Latin America GALA, Fall 2010
Participate in Butler's GALA - Global Adventures in the Liberal
Arts -study abroad program by traveling in Latin America throughout
the Fall Semester of 2010 while completing four core classes plus a
two week homestay & internship experience. Taught by Butler
professors - all with field experience in the region - the classes
will be a blend of classroom and on-site lectures, discussions,
site visitations, written assignments and exams.

Butler Semester in Europe GALA, Spring 2010

GALA Europe Group at the Palazzo Ricasoli in
Florence, Italy - January 2010
It's one thing to learn from books about the history of Paris,
the discovery of genetics, and the English Lake District landscape
that inspired so many artists and poets - and quite another to
study those subjects on site. That's why GALA (Global Adventures in
the Liberal Arts) was created. The new program from Butler
University's Center for Global Education will allow 20 students to
spend the 2010 spring semester (Jan. 16-April 19) studying with
Butler professors in Italy, France, Scotland, and England.
