Phi Beta Delta
International Education National Honor Society
Phi Beta Delta is a national honor society dedicated to
promoting and recognizing high level achievement in the field of
international education, broadly conceived. The purpose of this
society is to recognize and encourage high professional,
intellectual, and personal achievements in the field of
international education. The society serves as a means of
encouraging interdisciplinary international programming and of
promoting the exchange of ideas and information among a network of
faculty, staff, and students involved in international
endeavors.
Membership for faculty and staff is awarded based on evidence of
active involvement in international endeavors such as teaching,
conducting research, or engaging in creative activities with an
international focus; teaching, conducting research, or
engaging in creative activities overseas; administering study
abroad or exchange programs; developing international programs; or
providing courses or services for international students and
scholars.
Membership for U.S. and international students is awarded based
on evidence of active involvement in international endeavors such
as studying, interning, researching, or engaging in creative
activities overseas or with an international focus.
