Butler Semester in Latin America

GALA LA group pix

Participate in Butler's GALA - Global Adventures in the Liberal Arts -study abroad program by traveling in Latin America throughout the Fall Semester of 2010 while completing four core classes plus a two week homestay & internship experience. Taught by Butler professors - all with field experience in the region - the classes will be a blend of classroom and on-site lectures, discussions, site visitations, written assignments and exams.  Learn in context by traveling to:

Panamá   *   Nicaragua   *   Guatemala   *   México

The group will spend three weeks in Panama, four weeks Nicaragua, a week Guatemala and five weeks in Mexico connecting with cultures and the environment along the way.

Earn a total of 16 credit hours that fulfill core or general elective requirements and waive one semester of Change and Tradition (C&T) or Global and Historical Studies (GHS) upon successful completion of the program.  Spanish language is NOT required (though helpful).

You will pay your regular tuition to Butler University and will be able to apply 100 percent of your institutional aid (i.e., Butler scholarships) to your tuition costs.
