Butler is pleased to welcome students from Macquarie. We have a wide range of academic programs that are similar or complementary to those at Macquarie, including business administration (or commerce) and economics, history, literature, and the social and natural sciences. We have a particularly strong linkage in the area of Media Arts.

Basic Terms of the Exchange Agreement

Students in any academic field are eligible to apply for the exchange program. Exchange students pay tuition (or incur the normal HECS obligation) and mandatory fees at their home institution and then simply trade places in order to receive a semester (or two) of instruction at the partner university overseas. Accommodation and meals are paid for directly to the host university. As long as application deadlines are met, Butler will insure that incoming exchange students from Macquarie University have a space in an on-campus residence hall.

How to apply at Macquarie University:

If you are interested in participating in the Butler-Macquarie student exchange, contact the International Office there to learn more about the opportunity and to begin the application process.
