Young Alumni Board
The Young Alumni Board of Directors was started as a steering
committee in the summer of 2003 and has grown into a self-governing
body of 24 volunteer
members. Each spring, a new class of 8 members is selected to
serve a 3-year term. During their term, Board members are asked to
attend 4 annual Board meetings (typically on Saturday mornings) and
fulfill action items determined by the Board to increase young
alumni engagement.
Within the Board, there are four committees that help plan
programming in various areas for young alumni living in central
Indiana:
- Engagement
- Development
- Big Event
- Membership
The committees meet an average of 4 times per year, and the
Board relies on input from each committee in organizing annual
programs and new initiatives. Committee volunteers do not need to
be members of the Board in order to participate on most of the
committees.
