Ovid Butler Society Member Benefits

Butler University greatly appreciates the generosity of its annual supporters. The best reward you can receive for your contribution, of course, is the satisfaction of knowing that you have made a difference in the lives of others. Nevertheless, Butler enjoys publicly thanking its donors and recognizing them for their philanthropic efforts. Listed below are Butler's university-wide annual recognition societies. In addition, different areas such as the Bulldog Club, may have their own recognition societies and corresponding member benefits.

The Founders Circle ($1,000 - $2,499)

Named to commemorate the founding of the Ovid Butler Society in 1988.

  • Invitations to special events both on and off-campus

  • Discount on campus room rental
  • Admittance to the Bulldog Club Hospitality Area (West Gym, Hinkle Fieldhouse) during men's home basketball games
  • Listing in the annual Honor Roll of Donors, a part of the Butler Magazine, which is sent to all alumni, parents and friends of the university
  • Twenty percent discount on adult tickets to all Clowes Presents shows (performing arts series in Clowes Hall)
  • Twenty percent discount on up to four adult tickets to all Jordan college of Fine Arts performances in Clowes Hall
  • Ten percent discount on merchandise in the Butler University Bookstore, excluding textbooks
  • Opportunity to purchase membership to the Health and Recreation Complex

The Irvington Circle ($2,500 - $4,999)

Named in remembrance of the Irvington campus where the school was officially named Butler College.

  • Campus parking pass for faculty/staff designated parking areas (by request only)

The Forest Home Circle ($5,000 - $9,999)

Named for Ovid Butler's home, where the founders met to establish Butler University in 1850.

The Presidents Circle ($10,000 - $24,999)

Named to honor those who have served as president of Butler University.

The Jordan Hall Circle ($25,000 and above)

Named for one of the most enduring symbols of Butler University's campus, the landmark of historic Jordan Hall.
