Major and Minor in Gender, Women and Sexuality Studies (GWSS)

GWSS majors and minors will take the following core courses:

  • Core Requirements (9 hrs.)
    • GWS 101 Intersections of Identity
    • GWS 200 Feminist and Queer Studies
    • GWS 202 Resistance for Social Change
  • Transnational Requirement (3 cr. hrs.) - Select One from the following:
    • AN 320 Gender & Sexuality in Globalization
    • AN 322 Sex, Gender & Sexuality in Japan
    • HS 323 Hidden History of Sex, Gender & Sexuality in Latin America
    • RL 377 Religion, Gender & the Goddess in Asia

Majors will take an additional 18 credit hours and minors will take an additional 6 credit hours.
