Butler University Gift Programs for Transfer Students

To Apply: Complete the transfer admission application.

Application Deadline: February 1 to receive maximum scholarship consideration. Complete applications received after February 1 will be considered for scholarship based on available funds.

Award Amounts: Range from $2,000 to $4,500 and vary each academic year based on the quality of the applicant pool.

Selection Criteria: Awards are based on the student's academic record at the time of admission. Eligible students must be full-time, undergraduates pursuing their first undergraduate degree with a major in the:

• College of Business
• College of Communication
• College of Education
• College of Liberal Arts and Sciences

Notification: Award letters are sent under separate cover from the Office of Financial Aid.

Renewable? Yes, as long as the student maintains the renewal criteria outlined in the scholarship offer.

Notes: Students transferring to Butler University who are members of Phi Theta Kappa with 24 credit hours or more and who qualify for a Transfer Academic Scholarship may be eligible for an additional $1000 to their award.

To Apply: In addition to the transfer admission application, the JCA supplemental application and an audition (or interview) are required.

Application Deadline: Students are encouraged to apply for admission and audition early for best opportunity.

Award Amounts: Vary based on performance ability and departmental needs.

Selection Criteria: Determined by the department based on the audition (or interview).

Notification: Award letters are sent from the Office of Financial Aid by mid-March.

Notes: Audition awards are only available to students majoring within JCA - School of Music; Departments of Dance, Theatre and Arts Administration; and the Arts Program.

Notes: Awards are made in thirteen NCAA Division I athletic programs. Men's football, men's track and field, women's track and field and women's swimming are non-scholarship programs.

Eligibility: Tuition awards are based on a combination of academic strength, the family's ability to contribute as determined by the FAFSA and other financial aid received from Butler University.

Comments:

• Priority consideration is given to those who submit the FAFSA on or before March 1.
• Awards are not automatically renewed. Students must submit a FAFSA each year to receive consideration.
• Students must demonstrate financial aid eligibility each year.
