Center for Faith and Vocation Freshmen Scholars Program
Butler is looking for
young men and women who think they may be called to work in
religious communities or other settings of social outreach and
service. The Center scholarship is open to incoming freshmen of any
religious or spiritual perspective, regardless of the major they
may be considering. Ideal candidates should be interested in one or
more of the following:
- Service to others or social justice activism
- Interfaith programs
- Majoring or minoring in religion
- Entering a religious vocation, such as ordained ministry,
theology or faith-based activism
- Reflecting about how you and others are called to lives of
purpose, meaning and contribution.

Student applicants have the option to submit the application and
essay electronically to CFV@butler.edu as attachments by
MIDNIGHT on Jan. 4. Subject the title "CFV Scholarship" of a
student's senior year in high school. Otherwise mailed applications
will be accepted postdated no later than Jan. 4. All applicants
remember to include a letter of recommendation either
electronically or by mail.
The scholarship award is $4000 annually for 4 years.
