Exploratory Workbook
For those who are interested in a more organized method of
exploration, Exploratory Studies has produced a workbook titled
Choosing a Major: An Exploratory Studies
Guide. The workbook includes assessments for helping
you understand your values, interests, personality, and skills;
research projects for learning more about specific majors/careers
of interest; information about what a major actually is and what it
is not; questions to consider when choosing a major; and
information about campus resources.
The workbook is intended to be a guidebook that you use with
your advisor to explore options. Therefore, it is important that
you meet with him or her regularly while going through the
exercises. Your advisor can supplement the workbook with other
useful materials as you work through the exercises. Contact an
