Bill Templeton

Dr. Templeton is Associate Dean and McGurk Professor of Finance at the Butler University College of Business where he has taught since 1988. In 2000, he was a visiting professor at Auckland University of Technology in New Zealand. He has presented his research at national conferences in the U.S. and also in New Zealand, Albania and Ireland. He has published research on strategies for retirement investing, mortgage selection, banking, and financial education.

Dr. Templeton, a recipient of the Beta Gamma Sigma Outstanding Professor award at Butler, has taught corporate finance, investments, and risk and insurance in the undergraduate and MBA programs. In addition, he has taught in Butler's executive education program for physicians and delivered investment retirement seminars for the law firm, Bose McKinney. For each of the last nine years he has delivered a series of personal financial management workshops for rookie players of the Indianapolis Colts of the NFL.

Administratively, Dr. Templeton has been part of the development of Butler's "Real Life, Real Business" programs that emphasize the development of the whole person and experiential business education. He has also helped develop the global education programs of the College which provide opportunities for Butler students to study around the world.

Dr. Templeton received the B.A in Economics from Findlay College, the MBA from Indiana University and the Ph.D. in Finance from Kent State University.
