Endowed Scholarship for Advocates for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual
& Transgender (GLBT) Students
Scholarship Information
The Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender (GLBT) Scholarship
has been established in order to enhance student learning and
experiences by providing financial assistance to gay, lesbian,
bisexual and transgender students, as well as students that have
distinguished themselves as effective advocates for GLBT students.
The scholarship was established in the Spring of 2008 through a
generous donation by Louis Tharp and James Bumgardner.
The Office of the Vice President for of Student Affairs, working
closely with the student group Alliance, is seeking to identify
qualified candidates for selection as the 2010-2011 recipient of
this scholarship. More information is available on the GLBT Scholarship
application.
Applications may be submitted electronically to Meg Haggerty or delivered
to the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs in Atherton
Union 200. The deadline for applications is Monday, March 22,
2010.
