A Holiday Family Tradition. Butler Ballet is proud to
present The Nutcracker, where children and adults are
dazzled and delighted by glorious scenery and costumes, spectacular
dancing and magical moments. Twirl with the snowflakes and waltz
with the flowers while waiting for the dance of the Sugar Plum
Fairy and the Nutcracker Prince. Enjoy Tchaikovsky's magnificent
score performed by the Butler Ballet Orchestra and the Indianapolis
Children's Choir under the direction of Richard Auldon Clark.

Butler Ballet, joining the Jordan College of Fine Arts Mahler
artistic collaboration, is proud to present a radiant evening of
new works by resident choreographers highlighted by the masterful
work Dark Elegies, by Antony Tudor, licensed by the
Anthony Tudor Foundation. Choreographed to
Kindertotenlieder by Gustav Mahler, join Butler Ballet and
experience Tudor's revolutionary fusion of emotion, music and
dance.

Undoubtedly the most popular of all classical ballets, this
romantic and tragic story is brought to life by the timeless beauty
of the swans, the dark evil of the sorcerer and the eternal triumph
of pure love. Come revel in Tchaikovsky's eloquent score performed
by the Butler Symphony Orchestra, directed by Richard Auldon Clark,
as Butler Ballet performs this unparalleled classic in grand ballet
style.
