Welcome to the web page for Butler University's chapter of Upsilon Pi Epsilon (ΥΠΕ). ΥΠΕ is the international honor society for computer science.

Membership Criteria

From the ΥΠΕ Handbook, ΥΠΕ members must meet the following eligibility requirements:

  • Minimum 3.0 GPA in all college-level work.
  • At least 64 credit hours of college-level courses.
  • At least 18 credit hours of computer science courses.
  • Transfer students not already members of ΥΠΕ must be at Butler at least one year before eligible for membership.
Eligibiligy is not limited by race, color, creed, age, or gender.

Existing members of ΥΠΕ vote on whom to invite for membership from among eligible members. Historically, all eligible members are invited to join.
