Department Overview
Welcome to the Computer Science & Software Engineering Department.
We are in a transitional phase with respect to our web site. To see our old website, which has alot of content that has not yet been ported to the new format, please go to http://www.butler.edu/cs/index.asp.
Our department offers major programs in computer science and in software engineering, plus we offer a minor in computer science. We have 5 faculty members and about 40 students. We are housed in the beautiful Fairbanks building, with two dedicated computer labs with 24/7 access, plus wireless access. The highlights of our program include the supercomputer (named Big Dawg), our service learning program called EPICS, our active research activities, and our excellent connections with local industry including many opportunities for internships.
