Congratulations to Associate Professor Kristin Swenson on the
publication of her book book Lifestyle Drugs and the Neoliberal
Family. Published by international academic publishing company
Peter Lang, Lifestyle Drugs analyzes the commercial promotion of
pharmaceuticals as solutions to social and economic problems.
"Advertisements for lifestyle drugs promise to make us sexier,
happier, and better liked; not to cure us of a disorder, but,
ultimately, to make us better workers, suggesting that drugs do
indeed work to keep us working," Swenson states in a recent press release.
