The Creative Media &
Entertainment (CME) Program at Butler University offers
students an opportunity to produce creative content from the ground
up. From day one, students have an opportunity to get involved
in an array of creative outlets in audio, video and multimedia
production. With degrees in Digital Media Production and Recording Industry Studies,
students have access to state-of-the-art technology and will work
with faculty with professional expertise. Offering real world
experience and industry-focused course work, students have an
opportunity to move from concept to production to showcasing their
creative talents, whether producing a music CD, designing a
website, or creating a short film.
Housed in the College of Communication, students have an
opportunity to collaborate with each other as well as
with faculty from other communication-related programs,
including advertising, public relations, critical media studies,
organizational communication and journalism. Butler students
also benefit from being in Indianapolis, Ind., a sizeable media
market and the 14th largest city in the United States. Indianapolis
is home to a variety of multimedia businesses, recording studios,
television and radio stations. Internship opportunities are
rich and offer students a great advantage after graduation.
