Personal Counseling
CCS provides individual, couples and group counseling for issues
and problems related to academic, career and personal-social areas
of life. The reasons students seek help from counselors are as
varied as the people themselves. Therefore, it is our goal to
assist such individuals in identifying problems, developing
alternatives, making decisions and helping them pursue their plan
of action. Since CCS deals with problems of a private and sensitive
nature, all interactions are confidential, with exceptions listed
below.
(a) the student requests that the information be released;
(b) CCS is court ordered to release information;
(c) an immediate danger of serious harm to someone (self or others)
requires that information be released to prevent the harm from
happening;
(d) if there is any risk to children, the elderly, and the
physically or mentally handicapped.
