Summer Conferences

Located in the heart of Indianapolis, Indiana, Butler University provides a welcoming and flexible urban setting for conferences and camps with summertime accommodations on our campus. We offer a variety of spaces for programs and events, including large multi-purpose spaces, conference rooms, lecture halls, and fully mediated classrooms. The Butler Conference and Special Events team will work with you to plan, customize, and deliver affordable, successful summer conferences and camps.

Butler University offers residence hall housing and meeting space to both on- and off-campus groups for summer conferences and camps from June 1 through the last full weekend in July. We also provide housing and meeting space for those participating in the Indy 500 parade and track events on Memorial Weekend. Summer Conference Housing Accommodations

Summer Conference housing accommodations will be provided in Residential College Residence Hall (ResCo), an air-conditioned facility, or Schwitzer Residence Hall, a non-air conditioned facility each located on the Butler campus. Each facility has double and single occupancy rooms

Residential College

Built in 1989, Residential College (ResCo) consists of approximately 470 residence hall beds in single or double rooms. All accommodations are suite style. Double suites contain two bedrooms, each with two twin beds, and a shared bathroom; single suites contain two bedrooms, each with one twin bed, and a shared bathroom.

Residential College is an air-conditioned and smoke-free environment. Coin-operated laundry facilities are available as well as a conference room, study lounges, and front desk operations. Residential College is available Memorial Day weekend through the last full weekend in July.

Schwitzer Hall

Schwitzer Hall consists of approximately 450 residence hall beds in a standard dormitory style set-up with a shared bathroom per wing.

Schwitzer Hall is a non-air conditioned and smoke-free environment and features a sunken lounge and front desk operations. Schwitzer Hall is available Memorial Day and by special request through the last full weekend in July.

Linen Rental

Linens are available for those staying in Residential College only and should be pre-arranged with Conferences and Special Events at the time of booking. Linen rental is a one-time additional charge of $15.00 per bundle. Each guest will receive two (2) twin flat sheets, one (1) pillowcase, one (1) mattress pad, one (1) bath towel, one (1) hand towel, one (1) wash cloth, one (1) pillow and one (1) thermal blanket. Linens will be provided in bundles and are not available ala carte.

Housekeeping service for occupied residence hall rooms is not provided. Custodial maintenance of public areas in the residence halls will be provided by Butler University.
