Conferences & Special Events

The Office of Conferences and Special Events (CSE) manages the scheduling of University facilities for faculty, staff, students and the public. The CSE staff is prepared to provide full meeting and event planning assistance as needed.

Community -- University facilities are available for rent when not in use for academic activities. Space options range from small conference rooms to large auditoriums, most with state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment. Local and national organizations have found Butler to be a pleasant, productive and convenient location for seminars, conferences and meetings.

The campus is also home to several residential conferences each summer. More information on summer conferences.

Weddings at Butler -- For information about hosting weddings at Butler, contact CSE at (800) 368-6852, ext. 4321, or by email at weddings@butler.edu.

Faculty and Staff -- Butler faculty and staff who need to plan an event or meeting on campus are encouraged to submit room reservation requests by logging in to the My Butler portal.

Students -- Planning an on-campus event for your club or organization? You'll need to complete the blue Student Event Request form (PDF) and the Major Event Form (PDF) and get the appropriate signatures. You can pick up this form and instructions from the Office of Programs for Leadership and Service Education (Atherton Union, Rm. 101) or from the Office of Conferences and Special Events (Jordan Hall, Rm. 18).
