The Comprehensive Program of Communication Studies at Butler University prepares students for success through emphasis on communication excellence.
The field of Communication Study is concerned with the process and effects of oral communication. Scholars in the discipline study all aspects of communication as it relates to individuals, groups, cultures, organizations, pathologies and technologies.
The Department offers two 36-hour majors:
The Communication Studies major has concentrations in Communication, Technology and Culture (CTC), or Organizational Communication (OC).
The Communication Disorders major prepares students for graduate work in speech-language pathology, audiology or speech science.
