Student Of The Month - February 2002
Seth Berrier and Stephanie Herman
I've had both Seth and Stephanie in several classes. Both of
them are excellent students and work hard. They both participated
in the ACM programming contest last year. Seth has the distinction
of getting a higher grade than Nick Deibel in a course last year
(computer architecture) and Stephanie got the highest grade in my
CS242 class a couple years back. Congrats to both of them!

Stephanie has impressed me with her self-motivated personality
and her positive attitude towards learning. She doesn't hesitate to
take initiatives, step forward to volunteer and make important
decisions. She is well-liked by her peers and she is an outgoing
person with a pleasant personality. It has been a pleasure to have
her in my classes as well as in my research projects. Keep the good
work up Stephanie!!
I am impressed by Seth's creativity and ability to work well
with others. I enjoyed having him in my classes and research
projects. All the best, Seth!
- Panos Linos
Seth has consistently been one of the top students in the
courses he has take with me. He catches on quickly and has the
ability to view problems from different perspectives. I have also
had the opportunity to hear him sing at several Butler functions.
There is still ongoing debate as to whether he is a better musician
or computer scientist. Kidding Seth. Congratulations!!
When I came to Butler 2 years ago, Stephanie left for study
abroad in New Zealand. This is the first semester she has taken a
course from me, Computer Organization. Stephanie grasps concepts
very quickly and works very hard. Her interests are very broad.
Congratulation Stephanie!!
