Student Of The Month - April 2009

We are pleased to have two Students of the Month!

Anna Kispert

Anna is a junior in computer science. In addition to serving as an officer in ACM student chapter, Anna is an outstanding student, who I think would do very well in graduate school. She worked on a research project related to sorting algorithms last summer with Ankur Gupta and myself, and is currently working with Ankur Gupta researching wisdom and data compression. Anna is also the recent winner of the Kaj Nielsen award for excellence in computer science.

Jon Sorenson

 

Chad Skates     

Chad is an EDDP/computer science major. In addition to his work in the tutoring lab and as an officer in our ACM student chapter, he provides technical support for DawgNet , our online student newspaper sponsored by the School of Journalism, and he works with Nate Partenheimer in IR. He has also participated in our EPICS program. Chad the the first winner of the Barnes/Madden "Move Ahead" scholarship.
