Strings Camp

Butler strings camp for ages 7-12 is designed for students with
prior strings study. It is recommended that students have had at
least one year of prior study. Students will be divided into
smaller groups based on age and repertoire level. Activities will
focus on music skills that are appropriate for students in each
respective group. Our intent is to maintain interest, stimulate
imagination and provide attainable challenges. Classes may include
repertoire, orchestra, music theory and games. Students should
bring a favorite solo piece to share (memory optional). Ensemble
pieces will be provided the first day of camp. Tuition includes
snacks, T-shirt, and all materials. Campers should provide
their own instrument.

OF SPECIAL INTEREST TO JULY PIANO and STRINGS CAMPERS:
NEW this summer: the Butler Arts
Camp! From 1:30-5:30pm during the week of July Piano Camp,
July 8-12, and Strings Camp, July 15-19, students can take an
adventure through all of the arts including visual art, dance,
percussion, and theater. No prior experience within these art forms
is necessary. Tuition is $145, including materials. **For
any student who registers for July Piano Camp or Strings Camp-lunch
is on us! Students will be supervised and provided a free
lunch from 12:30pm until the start of Butler Arts Camp at
1:30pm.
