This camp is open to ages 13-21. No audition is required;
all levels are welcome. It is recommended that participants have at
least two years of prior study on snare drum; prior marching
percussion experience is helpful.
This drum corps style camp weekend will feature one-on-one and
group instruction for snares and quads with Jeff Queen and Bill
Bachman. You will leave camp with:
--A complete selection of custom tailored exercises to improve
general and specific areas of your playing.
--Strategies on exactly HOW to practice in order to improve at the
fastest rate possible.
--Development of a clear plan that will help you in achieving your
next level of playing.

Friday, June 22: 5:00-9:00pm
Saturday, June 23: 9:00am - 9:00pm
Sunday, June 24: 9:00am - noon
(Informal concert: 11:00am on Sunday)
Housing for the Snare and Tenor Camp is provided in Butler
University's ResCo dorm, which is air-conditioned. Dorm
check-in is 4:30 on Friday, June 22; check-out is 12:00 on Sunday,
June 24. It is generally recommended that 7th graders attend
as commuter students. Commuters participate in all sessions,
but are picked up at 9:00pm each evening. Tuition includes
Friday dinner; three meals on Saturday; and Sunday breakfast.
Applications must be postmarked by May 15 for residential
campers; full payment due by June 1. Late applications may be
accepted on the basis of available space.
