Communication skills are vital to success
in our world. In business and the professions, students who
can speak and listen become the successful leaders who challenge
and change our world. The College of Communication's Organization
and Leadership program assists its students with the acquisition of
the skills of leadership - critical thinking, effective
speaking, decision-making and problem solving.
Our goal is to help the student individually design courses
of study in communication that will best equip for a
post-college career or graduate work. Those who can intelligently,
strategically, and intentionally express themselves can succeed as
citizens and as professionals.
Our location in the country's 14th largest city allows our
students to easily combine theoretical knowledge with experience.
Many students complete one or more internships which, in the past,
have included the Hudson Institute, 500 Festival Committee,
The Children's Museum, NCAA, Emmis, the Mitch Daniels campaign, and
the Eiteljorg Museum.
