Butler Aphasia Community

Students enrolled in this course get the opportunity to work with people who have aphasia, a language disorder following a stroke or other neurological cause. The Butler Aphasia Community meets one night per week each semester. Senior students lead conversation groups of 3-4 persons with aphasia. Other activities include art, exercise, iPad practice, presentations on topics related to stroke, and communication strategies for caregivers.
