Since 1997, program graduates seeking school counseling
positions have been very successful in doing so. Approximately 20%
of the graduates obtain positions in elementary schools, 30% in
middle schools, and 50% in high schools. Approximately 70 students
are enrolled in the program with approximately seventeen women and
three men graduating each year.

assists program graduates in their job search activities.
National Counselor Certification
The National Certified Counselor (NCC) credential is one of
several hallmarks of professionalism, and while not required to
practice as a school counselor in the State of Indiana, is a
credential which not only identifies you as a professional, but
helps advance the cause of professional counseling throughout the
world. Also, the National Counseling Examination taken for the NCC
is required by state counselor licensure boards in more than thirty
states. There are currently 30,000 counselors with the NCC
credential. www.nbcc.org
