Real life, real business brings students, faculty, alumni, and
businesses together in mutually-beneficial partnerships. We
collaborate with businesses on cases and projects that help the
organizations grow and become more profitable and, in turn, result
in unique learning opportunities for students. Students
partner with faculty and career mentors who guide them through
their educational journey, resulting in relationships that often
last a lifetime.

frequently request assistance with business problems they are
facing through live cases and projects and some executives co-teach
courses with business faculty. This provides businesses with
premiere access to talent, fresh insight on business problems, and
includes outcome ownership. Recent Gateway and Capstone
partners have included Steak 'n Shake, HH Gregg, Aero Technologies,
Adidas, Rolls Royce and Second Helpings.

Pat Rondeau, Assistant Professor of MIS, developed a classroom
collaboration with a business connected with the Butler
Business Accelerator. Students developed a website
for Royal Food Products that is live and in use. The
President of Royal Foods expressed his enjoyment in working with
the students and was pleased with the end product. Royal Foods is
supporting additional research by Dr. Rondeau on
business-to-business website effectiveness. The project helped
Dr. Rondeau re-balance his perspective on what material is most
important to emphasize to his students.
