China 2001: Butler University/Freeman Foundation Student-Faculty Fieldwork Trip
5 Butler students and Prof. Eriberto Lozada conducted fieldwork on issues of globalization in urban and rural China in the summer of 2001, from May 21 - July 4, 2001. We started in Hong Kong, then went to Shanghai, and ended the trip in rural Meizhou, Guangdong Province. All the students had taken at least one year of Chinese (Mandarin) here at Butler (Payne had taken two years). The 5 students were:
Rebecca Dayhuff is a first-year College of Business student, majoring in International Management
Jeffrey Payne is a junior, majoring in Political Science.
Matthew Guebard is a sophomore, majoring in anthropology.
Jennifer Fugate is a first-year student, majoring in International Studies.
Elizabeth Jackson is a sophomore, majoring in anthropology.
