Experiencing China
"Living in China changed my perspective on life."
"Living in China changed my perspective on life and the way I
live in the United States. On my first visit to China, I stayed in
Hangzhou for nearly 10 months, and learned more than I ever
anticipated about medicine, culture, the language and myself. After
returning to the United States to complete my pharmacy degree, my
enthusiasm for learning and sharing what I had learned abroad
radiated from within me. I quickly became homesick for China and
the wonderful friends I made there, and just one year after the
date of my first departure from Hangzhou, I returned to China for
the summer to continue my research on Chinese herbal medicine."

medicinal practices.
