Instrumentation

Our department has a variety of equipment for students to use in laboratory course work and in faculty mentored undergraduate research. The equipment is meant to provide students with a hands-on experience in sample preparation, data collection and data analysis. Students may begin to use instrumentation as early as second semester of their first year of study, but will routinely use the instrumentation during upper level laboratory courses.

Chemistry Department Student Computer Laboratories

The department maintains a computer laboratory for student use. Computers in the laboratory are on the University Ethernet Network, and students have access to the laser printers, the University's VAX and UNIX systems, the Iliad Butler Library access, and the internet. In addition, the University has student computer laboratories (MAC and PC) for teaching and student use.
