Global Adventures in Liberal Arts
It's one thing to learn from books about the history of Paris, the Northern Ireland conflict and the English Lake District landscape that inspired so many artists and poets — and quite another to study those subjects on site. That's why GALA (Global Adventures in the Liberal Arts) was created. The new program from Butler University's Center for Global Education will allow 20 students to spend the 2008 spring semester (Jan. 19–April 20) studying with Butler professors in France, England and Ireland.
