Butler Faculty/Staff Encounter Community

The Center for Citizenship and Commmunity (CCC) provides a number of different kinds of support for faculty to help in your effort to get involved in community outreach that relates to citizenship. These services include:

  • We can help you think through the design of your service-learning outreach effort.
  • The CCC has established contacts with community partners and can connect you with relevant partners (for example see Community Involvement page).
  • We can also serve as consultants to provide you with assistance in thinking through issues as you teach a course. More in-depth information is available at Service Learning at Butler University.
  • We can also serve as consultants to help you find funders and help you write grant proposals to support your community outreach efforts. For example see Indiana Campus Compact - DSLP website.
  • The CCC has experience developing research courses and projects involving the collection, analysis and employment of data for the benefit of community organizations. Reports from previous projects utilizing applied data are available at (CRL) Community Research Laboratory.
