The University and the Community Together:
Cultivating New Possibilities

We are Butler University's Center for Citizenship and Community.

We - students, faculty, and community - all learn and teach in classrooms, community-based organizations, dance studios, social service agencies, and places of worship. Our method is not charity or volunteerism but service-learning, which makes teachers and learners of everyone involved.

Find us on the Butler campus in Jordan Hall room 109C, or contact us at 317/940-8353.

Through the Indianapolis Community Requirement, students from Butler learn from and contribute to the Indianapolis community. Students in this video teach dance classes at the Kaleidoscope Youth Center in Indianapolis and continue to do so after graduation.
