Eric Esterline joined the Center for Academic Technology team in 2011 as an Academic Technology Specialist. Eric recently earned a Masters of Science in Media Arts and Science from Indiana University. Eric has taught various media related courses in higher and secondary education for the past 8 years. Most recently Eric served as a media/video instructor and technology professional development coordinator for Westfield Washington Schools in Westfield, IN. He also helped create a summer professional development program focused on digital media, online learning, interactive whiteboards, Macintosh computers and more. Prior to his work in Westfield, Eric taught in Brownsburg, Indiana. After earning his undergraduate degree from Butler in 1998, Eric spent 5 years in broadcast media working for Clear Channel Communications, The Indianapolis Colts and XM Satellite Radio.

Heather Hazelwood joined the Center for Academic Technology team in 2011 as the Senior Information Systems Specialist for the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Recording Industry Studies in Media Arts from Butler University in 2005. Heather began her professional journey as an audio recording engineer in the studio environment and also worked as a live sound engineer for a rock band for five years. Heather most recently comes to us from University Place Conference Center and Hotel located on the campus of IUPUI. In her five years there she was a key specialist in the support of client services, classroom technologies, and audio/video recording and editing.

Kendra Hormann became part of the Center for Academic Technology team in 2010 as the Academic Technology Services Coordinator. Kendra began her service as a Butler staff member in 2008 in the Office of the Provost. As a staff member and student in the Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing program, she is intrigued by the dialogue between pedagogy, knowledge derivation, and effective use of technology to incite creative and dynamic learning environments. She is particularly interested in personal identity expression in a rapidly changing world in addition to the definition and trajectory of scholarly engagement via writing technique and communication and how it is functionally expressed through social medias, discussion threads, and information sharing technologies. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Writing from DePauw University.

Jeana Rogers joined the Center for Academic Technology team in 2009 as Academic Technology Specialist. Jeana brings more than fifteen years of information and instructional technology experience to Butler and has a Master of Science in Educational Technology from Indiana State University. Most recently, she was Instructional Media Specialist at Wabash College in Crawfordsville, IN where she worked closely with faculty to integrate technology in teaching and learning, supported streaming media use and established the Wabash College iTunes University site. In addition to her work at Wabash, she has worked for the University of Houston and in the private sector as an information technology specialist. Jeana is an Apple Certified Professional and has a special interest in digital video, Macintosh computers and multimedia applications.

Kenton Smith joined the Center for Academic Technology team in 2010 as an Academic Technology Specialist. Kenton has a Masters of Educational Technology & Curriculum degree from Ball State University and brings more than 12 years of educational technology experience to Butler. Most recently, Kenton served as the online and instructional technology coordinator for Westfield Washington Schools in Westfield, IN where he worked closely with faculty and staff to integrate instructional technology using Web 2.0 and open source applications. He also created and led a summer professional development program focused on digital media, online learning, and 1:1 computing in 2009 and 2010. Prior to his work in Westfield, Kenton was an Educational Technology Consultant for districts, consortiums, and municipalities throughout Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio.
