Blackboard 9.1
Important Blackboard 9.1 Information
Butler University upgraded to the newest version, Blackboard 9.1
in May, 2010. You'll see major changes to the user interface, many
useful new features, and several improvements to existing features.
The newer version features fewer steps to navigate through and
complete course setup options (and you won't have to click "ok"
several times either). It offers new and improved social learning
and teaching tools (e.g., blogs, wikis, and journals) as well as
other interactive and collaborative technologies that foster more
active learning opportunities for students. There now is an "Edit
Mode" button which allows you to toggle between instructor and
student views. Lastly, there is no Digital Dropbox option in 9.1.
Instead, there is an improved Assignment feature which allows
students to submit projects as groups and even multiple attempts of
the same assignment individually.
