Roberto Curci

Roberto Curci

In the fall of 2009, Dr. Roberto Curci lead a group of students in the first-ever curriculum innovation for the Butler MBA program called Applied International Business (AIB).  Curci and his students helped a central Indiana company, Langham Logistics, develop international corporate opportunities for the company in Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro Brazil.  Together, along with the Brian Landis, Managing Director for the Accelerator, they accompanied eight other Langham executives to Brazil on a ten-day trip.

While in Brazil, students teamed up with Langham executives to help establish strategy in supply chain management, consulting and international business.  Curci played an integral role in creating this opportunity for students.  Students believe this course was the best of their MBA courses, and consider it to be the capstone of their MBA degrees.  Langham reports an increased number of loads being transported to and from Brazil.

Kathryn KingKate King

Professor Kate King provided her experience in the retailing industry for a client project during January 2010.  Her areas of expertise include retail strategy, consumer shopping behavior, and industrial branding strategy.  King's proficiency in the above areas led to valuable insight into the retailing industry, that otherwise may have been lost in the shuffle.  Her knowledge of the 6P's of retailing, specifically presentation and in-store display knowledge led to many valuable recommendations for the client.  Her awareness of consumer buying behaviors helped identify the clients specific target market, and King's promotional expertise allowed the client to see how to redevelop their advertising campaign.
