Commencement Volunteer Opportunity
Every year commencement allows the Butler University community
to celebrate our students' academic achievements with family,
friends, alumni, faculty, staff and guests. To ensure a successful
and memorable ceremony each year, volunteers give their time to
serve as ushers, greeters and to hand out programs.
Traditionally the commencement ceremony takes place on the
second Saturday of May beginning at 10 a.m. in historic Hinkle
Fieldhouse. Since the doors for our guests will open at 8:30 a.m.,
volunteers will be required to arrive by 8 a.m. and should plan to
stay until the end of the ceremony at approximately 1 p.m.
Volunteers will also be asked to attend a training/information
session prior to Commencement day.
If you are interesting in serving as an alumnus volunteer or
have questions, please contact the Office of Student Affairs at
(317) 940-9570.
