Ralston Simmons '91

Ralston Simmons graduated from Butler University in 1991 with a
degree in computer information systems and business administration,
with a minor in French. He was named one of Butler's most
outstanding students in 1990 and 1991 and outstanding minority
student in 1992. He went straight on to graduate with honors from
Chicago's Loyola University Graduate School of Business with an
M.B.A. in management science and computers.
Ralston is the project leader for the electronic commerce group
of Peoples Energy Corporation in Chicago. He also co-founded
Innovative Computer Resources, LLC, a five-year old consulting and
training firm serving the Chicago area. The firm specializes in
targeted learning opportunities for area executives.
Ralston was a founding member of the Chicago alumni chapter in
1993, serving various leadership capacities in the chapter and
attending Butler events regularly. He also served on the Minority
Alumni Council from 1993-1999, completing his tenure as president
of the council.
Ralston is active in St. Paul CME Church in Chicago, serving on
the steward board and as president of the lay department. He was
recognized by the third Episcopal district as layman of the year in
2001.
He and his wife, Sandra, have one son, Ralston, Jr.
