Alumni Achievement Award was presented to Patricia Irwin Johnston.
The 1968 graduate will receive the award which is presented to an
alumnus in recognition of personal and professional achievement,
which brings honor and distinction to the University and society.
Johnston is an infertility and adoption educator for more than 20
years. She is the publisher and editor-in-chief at Perspective
Press, Inc., the infertility and adoption publisher which focuses
exclusively on infertility and adoption issues and He is a member
of the Joint Council on International Children's Services, American
Society for Reproductive Medicine and National Council for Adoption
among other organizations. She is the recipient of numerous
distinctions including "Adoption Activist of the Year" by the North
American Council on Adoptable Children. She has written numerous
articles and books on adoption and presented at a number of
national conferences.
